So for a little while now(bout two weeks) I have been trying to figure out a good way to shove a green laser diode probably a flat diode would work well from a burner even though it wouldn't be green into a ring. Mimicing the green lantern power ring. Now with the whole blackest night stuff there are 9 color factions which currently 7 of there are laser colors that would work for them. Obviously it would be awesome to get 75mW-100mW or higher so you can prolly pop balloons and light matches with your ring.

Green - 532nm
Blue - 473nm
Red - 665nm
Orange - 593nm
Black
Yellow - 561nm
Violet - 405nm
White
Indigo -445/447nm

SO, all that to say at least red, green, and violet should be pretty simple and cheap. For power I'm thinking it would have to be a couple stacked coin cells, and the ring could be large, but I'm going for smaller than a watch but probably bigger than a typical class ring. Ideally either it would have to be wired direct as i dont think you could fit all the components in and sufficient battery power, but maybe if it was turned into a glove (such as a white green lantern glove) that held the electronics and the ring held basically just the diode. Any thoughts? Yea i'm still a little bit of a newby in posting but i have been around this forum for about 3 years and tinkering with lasers for about 5, and so I decided to start throwing in my 2 cents worth here and there :D.

Basically i just need some help thinking this out a little bit and hurtles I might have to jump, or if anyone has already had this idea or some designs for it I would love to see them.
