Hey all, not sure if this is in the right section, but i just thought ill share this. sorry in advance if its in the wrong section..
but anyway! i took a trip to home depot this afternoon, and was looking for any kind of laser hosts. well, i found this light, its called the Energizer Hard Case Inspection Light. it says its water resistant, survives a 15 foot drop, has a shatterproof lens, and it just feels good. so, naturally, i took it apart, and VOILA. it has two nice little wires, perfect for connecting a flexdrive, a green module, anything. it has a side clicky as well. it takes 2 AAAs, but, of course, you can use 2 10440s as well. it also comes in a AA model. it also has a fair amount of room for a driver and an aixiz. itd be tight, but i think it would fit. youd have to keep the runtimes short, because theres not much room for a heatsink(i havent seen the AA model, though, that may work.)
All in all, i think its a great host, and at 15 bucks, its a steal.
if there is something very wrong with this host, which has kept people from using it, please let me know.
