I saw that quadrupling power doubles perceived brightness. those cheap arse 5mw pens range from 10-20-30mw its a gamble even with "50mw". and the 532 to IR is also a gamble.
I would say most cheap ones are like ~20mw green so 20*4=80. So buy a real 100mw green and you should have something that you can enjoy for years that is stable and amazing every time you turn it on.

Those companies are worth it. I like my DPSS to have a good chunk of heatsink since they are so pesky. And those are all IR filtered. I bought my whole family sets of FORUM TESTED uvex goggles (about $10) and myself some certified ones. Now they all know about safety and can show groups.
