Good laser book?

Is there a good BOOK about these sort of DIY laser circuits. Or about building lasers that IS NOT one of my E&M textbooks, or new cutting edge stuff. I'm looking for an informative, amateur-oriented book. Any ideas? Thanks!

I dont know of any books but Sams laser FAQ is a website that has all the the info you would ever need to know about lasers.

'lasers' is really too specific a topic to find 'books' on. At least not related to 'building a pointer'.

What you need to look for are books on power supply and DC-DC converter design and theory. Since outside of driver design, at least with diode lasers.. the rest comes down to machining and basic soldering skills.

It's a great book, it still has many relevant learning experiments and all with low powered, easy to obtain lasers. :beer:
