Ive made up my mind and im going to get the x65 in a month or so.

At first I had a red laser pointer until i saw a ad in this surplus magazine where i saw a 5mw green laser pointer for $100 dollors and i was like wow there green so i started looking up and found wicked lasers and was like wow a 15mw for the same price sounded great.
Then i found this forum because of the kipkay hack thing and found out about nova lasers.  I couldnt be happier, like 4 times more powerful than the wicked laser one for only $29.00 more...wow

I cant wait!!! ;D ;D [smiley=vrolijk_26.gif] [smiley=vrolijk_26.gif]

p.s. Was that a good choice for my first high powerd laser?
I also got a lens from there to make the dot smaller to burn stuff easier

i hear u dude!!!
i ordered my x65 last week so i should get mine this week

well i think i made a good choice... so u made a good choice too! lol

what got me into greens was the battery life in my keychain red was a real pain so i looked on ebay for AAA lasers and all i saw was green!! haha

oh and u should also get some goggles especially if u want to burn stuff (i need to get a pair when my laser comes in too hehe)

Actualy i got lucky i went to this battery store and i found a red laser pointer that actualy ran off 2aaa's but i started looking for a new one after about 50million scratches on it button problems and worst of all i tried taking it apart the lens popped out and broke of the tip and got tons of white schratches on the lense then superglued it back in place and the best thing is it still actualy works lol its just kinda like a .5mw now lol

;D ;D ;D

About the goggles ill probably get like some Dewalt goggles that were meant to enchance a red laser beam but people tested them and found them like od5 for protection against green lasers, but if they dont work good (as in the dot is very very dim) i will definantly invest in good laser goggles i dont want to get hit in the eye with this lol.

You made a very good choice. I have the X105 and am very happy with it. When you get it will will also notice the specs will be higher than advertised.. :) And please do invest in good laser goggles...do not substitute with anything else.

Bout the goggles i was thinking of just trying them becauase if the dot is as bright as the .5mw i talked about above why wouldnt they work? Because some people said they blocked green realy good and it was even hard to see the dot unless on a bright white surface.

They may appear to block green but when you're messing with >65mW you really want to be careful. Out very own nes_ds is selling goggles for $29 shipped (I believe) to the US. Though cosmetically they aren't the best looking, it's the best price, and they work. 8-)

Well I dont think i can get some from him i looked at his thread and he was out and said the supplier tripled the price.... How can they just appear to block green? I know the laser has a quality Ir filter on it.

offtopic(I changed my signature all the laserslasers

was realy annoying me lol.

I suggest you read through the safety section of this forum. You NEED good laser goggles ::)
