Well we've save £70 per month doing it like this as we combine our business phone bill with the house. So in our cafe we'll be putting a wireless router for the customers to have free broadband at no extra cost. I'm just gonna use the older BT voyager wireless router down the cafe as we have the Belkin N series in the house... Hopefully we'll have some Interactive customers

Just hope you don't get as many as Starbucks does! Trust me, customers with their laptops are a pain in the arse!

Our business in on the seafront so we get tourists walkers etc not the Starbucks crew like you get Not to mention we can give customers the same types of coffee for well under half the price

LOL! Yea, one thing with Starbucks is, they can charge whatever the hell they like and get away with it. Customers may come in and complain but they still pay it anyway...gullable! Thank God I don't have to work there anymore!

That is better than I was able to do with Verizon. Unfortunately where I am living now they don't have broadband access. It is about 112kbs at best. I have a VX6600 and I do love it.

Well I have some good news. I live in a very rural area and within the past week I have noticed my EVDO broadband is working on my cell phone. I never expected to see it here. The signal strength isn't the greatest but I think they are working on it. My fastest download has been 500kbs....not bad all things considered.

Well, I'm not out that way often (read 'never') but for my next big trip I plan to visit a few of my new friends on that side of the pond. So I hope to see just how good that food is.

Well I have some good news. I live in a very rural area and within the past week I have noticed my EVDO broadband is working on my cell phone. I never expected to see it here. The signal strength isn't the greatest but I think they are working on it. My fastest download has been 500kbs....not bad all things considered.

500kbps! I've got to get me a new cellphone.

if you have verizon, go to your main menu and pres "0" then for service code type in all 0's

once your in go to ur proxy server sttings, and change them to a custom one hosted on your comp

(there is a vid on youtube by "the fixed" on how to do this, they go into very great detail with step by step instructions on how to make ip and stuff, links to all the downloads there)

this gives you free highspeed, just dont download anything as verizon monitors bandwidth and will call you and tell you to either stop or get service disconnected and fined.

With Sprint, using a cable or bluetooth (slower), you set up your dialup connection to call #777 - it's called Tethering.
2 catches - Many phones have Dialup Networking disabled, although on some you can enable it. (On my A900 it's Settings, Display, 0, 040793 then select NAI off.)
The other thing is that Sprint used to monitor usage and start billing for phone-as-modem time if you used more bandwidth than they thought a mere phone would be using. But now that phones can stream video etc., I doubt they track this anymore.

I tether mine with bluetooth when my cable Internet goes down. I don't know if I am supposed to, but my phone allows for it and I don't do it very often. Verizon does need to get "over it" ! They call their plan unlimited, but they really allow 6 gigs per month. I have heard of lots of people who have received warning letters for going over the amount. I probably never will since I don't use it that much, but I really do not like being restricted either.

That kind of crap is why I won't go with Verizon again. Unlimited is only unlimited-ish, transfer of files via Bluetooth to non Verizion phones is blocked, waiting in line to speak with their 'Data specialist' to have him tell me "Oh, that isn't possible." to which I replied "Step outside with me and I'll show you that is is working. I just need you to go into your system and change it to the new IMEI!"
