So I was just browsing around ebay today looking for a nice pair of 445nm laser goggles, and I came across these:
Barr & Stroud Laser Goggles
The description doesn't state anything whatsoever about the OD or blocked wavelengths. But I'm assuming it's for shorter wavelengths since the coating is red.
After some more browsing around, I came across a similar pair, except for green wavelengths:
GENERAL PURPOSE LASER GOGGLES CASED
The cases and styles of the goggles are pretty much identical, so I assume they're from the same manufacturer. From the slip of paper inside the case (telling you to look for coating break-up), I'm assuming that these are coated glass goggles? Also, the description claims that they are military surplus.
So has anybody bought or tested any of these? I can't find exact specifications anywhere for the red ones, but I found a thread on CPF claiming that the orange ones tested exceptionally.
I'm not the kind to trust something with so little information, but if coated glass laser goggles can be had for this cheap, I'm definitely going to buy a pair to try out.
