So I got the cheap multimeter and tested it. I was getting readings from 180-200+ mA and since 200 is as high as it went I occasionally got the OL. Out if limits indicator.
 





Well, it wasn't overcurrent, at least not
anything the DVM could measure. Like I
said, the only way to really know for sure
if the power decreased would be if you have
measured it with an LPM and compared it
with what it is now. The only thing I can
suggest is maybe picking up a LaserBee.
