I bought 7 rockminer r-box to start mining, but unfortunately I am only able to setup 5 of them.

I am selling them for $60 each, which is quite a bit less than what I bought them for.

Here are pictures

Hmm, I could use these! How do they work? I have no clue!

To setup them up, you just plug in the USB cord I send you (micro USB to the r-box standard USB 2.0 to computer or raspberry pi). Connect your ether net cable to the raspberry pi (if that is what you are using).

Change your computer to a static IP address such as 192.168.1.222 (the last octet can be any number). Then in your browser type in 192.168.1.254, this is the default IP address of the miners.

From there you will have a Web interface where you can configure everything else. If you lookup "eyeboot r-box setup" on YouTube, he has some great tutorials.

Interesting...

Would you be willing to ship to Canada?

I prefer to ship to US, but at buyers expense I can ship to Canada.

If I PM you my address would you be able to give me an estimate on the cost?

Even at unreasonably low electricity cost estimates (like 5 cents per kWh, I can't see how these will ever break even?

Bitcoin Mining Calculator and Profit Calculator

EDIT: Am I missing something? Basically none of the mining hardware out there well ever break even.

Its all well and good for me, I have solar panels that I got dirt cheap, so the energy for my miners is free! :D

Actually, unfortunately I just checked my bank account and I don't have the money right now.

These are still for sale.

And for the person that was trying to debate above whether these will make an ROI, when clearly this is a sales thread and not a debate thread. Its true, if you want to make a quick buck, this isn't for you. But just a small back story, back in 2011 I was interested in bitcoins, and I never thought much of the value. Back then for $50 I could get around 7 bitcoins. I didn't think that was a big deal, I just bought the bitcoins, and with the bitcoins I bought whatever I had to.

Fast forward a little bit, I had 30 bitcoins. When they started to get big I sold them all. So instead of waiting just a few more months, and getting more than $30,000. I sold them all for under $1,000.

Everyday more and more people, and businesses are starting to accept bitcoins. There is even talk that amazon will start to accept bitcoins soon. The more people and businesses that adopt bitcoin the bigger it will get. People believe that eventually they will reach 10k each. Now if that is true, I don't think it will happen for a while.

But what I am trying to say is, give bitcoin time and it will grow even more.

Is the GUI interface IP address configurable? I can't use .254 as that is the IP for my modem, set by my ISP, and is not configurable. If it is configurable, and if the configuration isn't problematic, I may consider buying one of these.

What's the average hash rate? What are the power supply requirements?

Are you pool mining or solo mining btw? I can't imagine solo mining being productive at all for a coin as big as bit. I've DOGE mined for quite a while but recently the exchange rate has really tanked and my doge is just depreciating =/. Got 100k sitting in a paper wallet and it's only worth like $20 now. I didn't buy all of it, but I did buy $50 worth at one point. I'm waiting for the next big spike to sell, heh.

The default IP for these are 192.168.1.254. Your modem is probably 192.168.0.254.

And if there was an IP problem, just disconnect your modem temporarily. Change your IP address to 192.168.1.xxx, type in the 192.168.1.254 in your address bar. The GUI will show up, from there you can change the IP of the miners and configure your workers.

The average I get for all 5 of mine is 160Gh/s which is spot on. But sometimes they dip to around 90Gh/s, and sometimes they go almost as high as 300Gh/s. But the average is spot on so Im not concerned. With (1) of these your average should be right at 32Gh/s.

The power requirement are 60W 12V 5A each. I was considering solo mining, but that would mean unless I got EXTREMELY lucky I would make nothing. So I am pool mining now.

I am considering getting more powerful miners, and testing my luck with solo mining. Even with 1Th/s the average time to generate a block is over 2 years.

Yeah my modem is actually 192.168.1.254. It used to be .1.1 like normal but my ISP said they had too many conflicts and decided to move to .1.254 for some reason. Unfortunately I can't just disconnect the modem temporarily as it is my landlords, we pay her a portion of her isp bill and we get wifi access.

The ROI period is too high for me, coupled with the modem issue. Good luck with the sale though, excellent deal on them!

Still in sale? I'm thinking in buy one, and I'm waiting for a eBay auction. Can I know the price plus shipping to Spain? Is for know if is going to be more economical that the eBay sale, and if is cheap I will buy that. Thanks

PD: includes power supply?

I think shipping would be somewhere around $30. The rockminer will include the data cable, but I cant include a PSU.

For 100$ I have it with PSU, sorry. MLP ROCKS!!!
