Turns out it´ll still be a couple of years before i´ll be able to build that projector so i´ve decided that i value a laser power meter more than having a dac laying around to no good.

I bought it from norm on ebay for $199US + shipping.

Pardon my naivety but I'm new to laser 'show' equip.**

What else would be required with this device to run a show with my diodes from my computer? Thank you.

You need a software for your computer, this dac works with HE Laserscan and Mamba Black according to Norm himself.

The hardware you need apart from the dac is a set of galvos (xy scanner) complete with drivers(amps) as well as lasers with analog or TTL modulation, or external modulation using an acousto-optic modulator(AOM and PCAOM, PCAOM for multiline lasers such as a whitelight Ar/Kr)
