I'm selling my new stainless steel open can laser from a LG 20x DVD burner from newegg, it has a heatsink made from jayrob (nice job) and a driver made from rkcstr nice job also and its a 400ma driver, has a new glass lens, and has a very nice feel to it and its 4' long and a nice click button  for continuous on and off.

70 shipped

Re: fs; open can laser

That's a nice looking laser you made there jake21!

Just to avoid confusion about the heatsink. Yes, it is different than the MXDL heatsinks that I make. I got a drawing from jake21, and made him a custom heatsink for this build...

Re: fs; open can laser

Nice looking piece of work you have there :-) (normally folks don't bump threads on the same day they are created-it is considered rude to those others that are selling, or reading BTW)

Re: fs; open can laser

It is a nice piece of work... looking for a kenbarrel alternative to those who missed out are we :P

Re: fs; open can laser

sorry if i pissed any one off for the bump, but thanks for the comments :)

Re: fs; new open can laser ($70)

it marks the thread w/ the "NEW" box and puts the thread at the top of the list :)

Re: fs; new open can laser ($70)

It should be putting out around 230 - 240mW since he's driving the diode at 400mA and the aixiz glass lens doesn't increase the output that much compared to an acrylic lens.

Re: fs; new open can laser ($70)

yes chido ur rite, the driver is 400ma, but it might be sold all ready not sure yet :)

Re: fs; new open can laser ($70)

BTW, on the DIY laser power meter thread you said you bought a power meter, was it the one on ebay?
