im not thread crapping

if you didnt know. . the LCD's themselves are made by the same major companies samsung being one of them. your LCD monitors and the hanns may have the same lcd element..

did you think dell makes their own panels? no your not that stupid.. are you?

This is true. Many monitors, ROMs, and other PC components are all made by the same companies.

yes you are thread crapping. same thing goes for dell hard drives and memory etc. most LCDs from Dell are from Samsung or Sharp. Sony, Samsung, Sharp all have similar manufacturers. Hanns? who knows. if you feel that is more worth it go ahead and buy the hanns.

Yeah with a name like wtfman911 and 13 posts you may have some issues in selling things.

*why* do threads end up like this?

Most companies buy panels from a few different manufacturers, however the circuitry and firmware of machines changes vastly. For instance, my Dell monitor has the same panel as about 5 other monitors on the market, but only mine has a nice scaler chip and range of inputs. This, to me, was worth the extra money (as well as the increase in picture quality provided by Dell's circuitry). As for his reputation, as long as the buyer uses PayPal, and the seller uses signature-confirmed delivery with insurance, I don't see how anyone loses out.

Dell's circuitry ? increase in picture quality?

In comparison to which other models? what did you use to test?

Could you please back up what your saying?

I don't see why, but OK:

The Dell 3007WFP and 3007WFP-HC only accept 2 inputs: DVI at 1280x800, and 2560x1600. With the introduction of a scaler chip and new inputs, the new 3008WFP supports any input you can think of, at any resolution, whilst still using the same panel as the 3007WFP-HC.

Here: Computer Power User Article - Dell UltraSharp 3008WFP is a review of the monitor, and comparison with the previous models. It doesn't mention them using the same panel, however.

Sorry to the OP for the threadjack.

It doesnt mention in that review that they use the same panel..

I can post statistical data that sounds about right but doesnt mean its true.

i.e. 405nm diodes use a boron calcide substrate as the basis for the chips, thats why they run cooler than 650nm diodes.

get it?
