The safe normal setting is 1.3A. I would still used shortend run times, at least until it is broken in and a good sink is used.

for those that enjoy the orange spectrum, this is a Great diode! the divergence with a G-2 lens is similar to the NDG 7475. It can be focused to a square similar to a c-mount 650nm 1 watt laser diode.
