So, I was thinking about what most people really want arctics for, and the answer is simple: burning things. Now, we can focus our lasers down to a point if we want to but the arctic is fixed-focused to infinity (or as close as wicked cares to get). However, most consumers don't want that AND this allows for eye injury at large distances. What if wicked fixed-focused the laser to a point, say, 2 meters from the laser? This way people can do all the burning they want, and the chance of an eye injury would drop significantly the farther you got from the laser-so they couldn't injure anyone who wasn't willingly within range of the laser. On top of that, I think focused at 2m is plenty for pointing and stargazing, in fact it would make the inevitable pointing a lot safer. And NO WAY you're gonna get close enough with an arctic to blind a pilot if it's focused like this. This could be applied to a lot of sold lasers as a safety precaution to the general public. What do you think?
