Hi. I assume this is the right place to post this question. I have done a search but haven't found an answer. I recently received a HL-450nm 100mW from Laser BTB. I am very happy with the laser so far. I do have one small issue with it though. While trying to focus to infinity, the focus is screwed all of the way in before I hit infinity. The furthest out I can get the beam to focus is about 1 meter. Is this common in the HL lasers?

I'm not sure of the divergence of that model but I do know most direct diodes won't focus to infinity with stock optics. My 445 nm 3 watt is "focused at infinity" about only 50 feet or so. Pictures might help if you posted a few. Also does that have a focus ring? It may need to be backed off the main lens a bit if so.

Hi thanks for responding. When I back it off a little the beam just gets wider. It just starts to get to its thinnest as it reaches the point where it cannot be screwed in any more. I will post pictures when I get a chance.
