What attracted me to the EPSILON ED P7 was the price. The first 20 would get the ED-P71 for $69.00 shipped. I was one of the first 20 so I got the light at $69.00.
Later I decided to get the ED-P72 light engine with battery tube at $49 and the AR lens $3.00. This battery tube holds 2 18650 batteries and comes with another module to run the batteries.
Everything came shipped in this box.
After looking over the light I noticed that there was some Type III Hard Anodizing missing from the cooling fins.
There are some sharp edges on the front of the lens bezel. This was addressed in one of the threads about the ED-P72.
All the other parts of the ECD-P71 are OK.

This is the optional ED-P72 battery tube installed.
The ED-P71 and ED-P72 use a P7 Led with an OP reflector.
The beam tint on my ED-P71 looks slightly yellow. The beam tint on my ED-P72 looks white.
I had issues with the light flickering. I found out that I needed to make sure that the P7 module is screwed down all the way to the battery tube.
The module screws in and out very easy. This is how the module should be, screwed all the way to the battery tube.

This is size comparisions of both lights to my hand.
The rear clickie is a forward clickie that feels on the soft side. Minglight said they will send everybody that has received the light another switch. I hope it has a more positive harder click.
There are 3 levels that go from high to medium then low. You half press to get to the levels or you can turn off and back on to get to the other levels. The ED-P71 will remember it's last level of light when shut off. High 100% >> Mid 25% >> Low 5% >> Off
No issues with sharp edges on the rear tailcap assembly.
Minglight is getting around 75 minutes (2800mAh battery), 50 minutes ( 2500mAh battery) for the ED-P71 1 18650 light. The ED-P71 will switch to low mode.
I don't have any run times for the ED-P72 2 18650 but if somebody knows they can go ahead and post what they are getting.
Current in High mode 2.8A
You can use 2 RCR123's in the ED-P71 but make sure you change the module to the ED-P72 module. I haven't had time to do any lux readings with this set up.
I used AW's Protected 18650's black in all beam shots and lux readings.

I like the ED-P71 in the 1 18650 battery set up . I finally get to see what a warm color beam should look like. It's on the yellow color side. All my lights except a few are on the cool blue side. I only have 2 lights with R2 WH's but those beam tints are on the slight green side.
Minglight says that the ED-P71 is using Bin code: DSWNJ (CCT: 6050K), (warmer tint).
I took the ED-P71 to work today and everybody said that "sure is a bright light!". They also commented on the size. Smaller than my other larger brighter lights.
I did use the light in the morning when it was dark to see how low would work reading something. The low shouild be lower. It's a little to high.
I was surprised how close the brightness of the ED-P72 2 18650 compared to the Tiablo ACE MCE.
