Hi all,

this is my first posting here and i want to show you the Pics from my first selfmade Laser with a Laser-Diode from a broken BlueRay-Drive i bought at ebay.

Here you see the Housing i used for the Laser......it was a pneumatic cylinder

at the next step I have made the fit for the laser diode recording on the lathe.300mW-Blueray-405nm-05.jpg

next step is the milling and drilling for the fan

ok...this was the first part of the tread

Here the seconde part:
at the next I have the fan and copper diodes recording used

....and at the End i insert the Collimator and set the Laser into a Holder

.....and the Laser was ready to burn

The Driver is for a input of 5V to 9V and has a various Current to 500mA. He can used for Red and Blue Laser-Diodes.
I use a LiPo-Battery with 7,4V and the Current for the BlueRay-Diode is fixed to 300mA. There is no switch mounted so the Laser and the fan is starting directly then the Battery is connected.

Thankx,

i think allso......in my workshop i have a big sampling of Metal-Part who are waiting to use for constructions.....thats my way.

At the next i will posting my first Red Laser :D

For the Diode i have no Informations, but the Driver you can find on
Insaneware Deluxe
....but he is to large for inserting into a Aixiz-Modul. For me no problem because the Aixiz-Moduls are...... only my mind....too bad for heatsink.
I use only copper for the Diodes

Nono I meant the blu ray drive, not the driver.. Sorry for the confusion. All these almost similar names for different things :P

No Problem..... i have found the Drive-Name :

" LG BluRay Brenner Laufwerk BH10LS30 "
