I'm again trying to build a red powerful burning laser. Last time I burned 300mW laser with 100mA current when diode was in big heatsink in 2secs. This time I don't want that happen again to me. I have focusable laser host Focusable Laser Module Host/5.6mm Laser Diode Case w/h Lens/DIY Laser Host/1pcs | eBay. I found one more laser diode NEW Mitsubishi 645-655nm 350-500mw High-Power Red Laser Diodes LPC-836/1 pcs/pck | eBay. Will my setup work good? Host's heatsink enough or need aditional heatsink? Universal lens is good or not?
