About to order the above laser, just wanted to post this to see if anyone has had any experience with it (no reviews in the review section).

I've also heard many problems with customs (I live in the U.S.) and are there any tips someone can give to me to help make sure my laser arrives safely? Should I ask them to send it in two parts? Or is that a little excessive and will asking for no batteries simply be enough?

Or... should I just order it because customs will probably not confiscate the laser?

Get this one instead www.rayfoss.com

If you dont mind paying the extra money, the host is truly beautiful, it comes with a charger and battery. I've never really liked pen lasers because alkalines really suck in lasers.
Unless you dont mind paying for expensive energizer lithiums I suggest you get this one.

Have it shipped in two different packages. Way safer. O-like only charges $4 extra for doing this.

Will the power output be any different in the two lasers if I used the batteries that come with the flashlight host and regular alkalines in the pen style?
I'm also afraid that by having batteries / a charger include with my laser it will be confiscated, is there a way to ask them to send them seperately?
Also, is there any difference between that laser and the other $40 50 mW waterproof lasers on rayfoss, or are the hosts just slightly different because I think I would prefer a black / chrome host?

Alkalines has a poor life in high mA-drawing laser, the max power output is the same. You're best of using Ni-Mh batteries if you choose the pen style.

I say you go with what TheLight suggested you, because green lasers drains a lot and rechargable lithiums are a good way to counter this problem as they are faster to recharge.

Well the laser you originally wanted runs on AAA, while the laser i advised you to purchase uses a rechargeable CR123A lithium cell, these are two completely different batteries, with different nominal voltage and size. Basically you can't run the "good"(rechargeable lithium) batteries in the pen host laser that you originally wanted.
I don't think you have to worry about it being confiscated, Faona sends them pretty discretely, but i suppose if you are plenty paranoid then you could ask her to split the order in two.
And no there is no difference between the chrome(the one i linked in my previous post) to all the other 50mw lasers with the same style host, just make sure you check the wavelength before you buy. You are looking for 532nm.

I would go for the "chrome" one

its not really chrome(better then chrome), but it looks and feels very nice in real life(this will be the second one I'm buying)

I've bought many lasers from RF. Very good seller.

I live in the USA, they shipped mine in one package no problem.
