Has anyone tried using their blu-ray to pump a dye laser (rhodamine 6g, etc.)?

I am waiting for my 300mW BR diode. I have a lot of orange color dye. Also NO3 test, for my fish tank, have a yellow very flourecent color. Two mirrors and a BR diode. Maybe it will work? I have never tried dye laser before. It will be interesting trying it!
