Today I recieved my thought bluray host from DX (sku.2070) and was going to measure what current the booster driver puts out. The problem is that the diver is held in place by a metal ring I need to get rid of. This normally wouldn't be a problem, but since the ring must be intact I need no remove it in a safe way. Does anyone know how to do that? I've heard about bending it, but I'm unsure of which way to bend it. The ring can be seen in the picture below.
