dx boost circuit for lasers???

has anyone ever tried to use an led driver to power a laser (for example... DX sku 4451 its a 300mA 1.5V) any ideas?

I bought a bunch of them to use, but they are still in my drawer, untouched. I think they would be good, you just need to add a capacitor. But I'm not sure, hense me not using any yet.
