hey guys!

i have a rechargeable battery which i suspect is a dud.
i also have a working non-rechargeable and what i suspect is a working rechargeable.

I own a 19-range multimeter (volt-meter?) (my dad's) but I'm not too sure how to use it to test batteries.

it is this model:
22-9505
typically found at Tandy (radioshack)

I'm sure this is a silly question, but does anyone know how to use one of these?

Set the multimeter to a low voltage DC setting (2V is a common setting) Hold the red probe to the positive end of the battery and the black probe to the negative end of the battery. The battery should read 1.2V when charged.
