I have this 3 mode driver here and it will put out about 350ma through a 445nm on high. I would like modify it to output higher currents, anyone have any experience modding drivers like these. The inductor does have a chip in it but the driver still works well as a test chip.

I took a crap shoot shot at modding one earlier and messed up the soldering job but I'm getting much better, investing in a nicer soldering iron come christmas. Anyways I removed the R270 resistor, shorted it, and the process the blue wire got connected to the short. I threw it on my test load to just to see what it would do and it has the same outputs as before.

Would appreciate any help,

There's no guarantee the other components can handle the higher current though, so either check their datasheets or monitor the temperature closely. Replace R270, don't just short it. If your measurement is correct, looks like the reference voltage is about 0.95V, so 0.95/(desired current in amps)=resistance in ohms. If that doesn't change anything, you might not be feeding it enough voltage and/or your test load Vf is too high.
 
Ty for that I'll keep an eye on it.

Note: I cleaned up the solder a little more and without the resistor the driver will not output. I messed with it a little more and got frustrated, then I decided to use it as a contact board and I removed all of the components. I'll revisit this when I get better soldering equipment.
