dorcy 1w 3aaa led 41-4285

Has anyone used the dorcy model #41-4285 as a laser host because my friend got me this flashlight for my birthday and i was wondering if it will work I just dont know how many ma it puts out but either way im going to use a 5ohm resitor to get the current to around 200-250ma. Tell me what you all think.
