Ok remembering a topic I posted a few weeks back about selling a rubbish linear diffraction grating, someone suggested I cut it up into squares and double them up to get matrix effects.
Well I have finally gotten around to doing it and noticed something I have no idea why I never noticed before. I only removed the protective plastic from one side, hence the crappy effect it gave. DOH! I have had it for just over a year shut in my drawer and never noticed.
So I cut them into 2cm squares and now have 50 or so squares of linear gratings, doubling them up gives a nice matrix effect.
Anyway top tip for anyone:
Remember to remove the plastic!
