Recently, I was looking for something that could I use as a plug for my DMM leads. Molex female pins turned out to be perfect.
How to get these:
First, grab some scrap that has a Molex female plug on it. I used a fan adaptor.
The pins are held in by two small soft metal pieces.
To remove them, just use a jeweler's screwdriver and bend them flat with the pin. There is some kind of tool called "Molex pin removal tool", basically a thin tube, with inside, just large enough to fit the pin in and bend the both metals flat.
They should slide out nicely. Do it at the other side for cleanliness, if you want. I extracted only the black and red, you can extract them all.
Voila! Perfect fit for my, and most DMM leads. They even lock in place!
Now it's up to you, what to do with it. De-solder it off the wire, or clip'n'strip? They would be perfect for HLPM-II, or to make an adapter that adds alligator clips for your DMM. Basically anything that requires frequent and/or complicated use of a DMM.
