Does anyone here own a DL module, or any 50mw green module actually?
As you probably noticed I am in the process of finishing building my RGY/RGO laser scanner, my 50mw (532nm) green module was sent today but I still have the problem of housing and fitting the laser and the driver into it. I have found a aluminum box that is 300mm(w)x300mm(l)x100mm(h) I hope all parts will fit in there, main thing I am not sure about is the driver for the laser.
The DL PDF document that shows measurements says 16... just 16, for all I know it could be 16 bananas... If I take a guess and say its 16cm then there is a problem, its not going to fit. My only other option then is to mount the driver externally on top of the box.
What would you recommend? I don't really want to build my own box, I have already spend over £400 building this thing but I am beginning to think I am going to have to build a wooden frame and buy some aluminum sheets to mount on the frame.
