Did my diode burn out?

I got a 1w guardian series 445nm laser from sanwu. I had it running at 15 on and 45 off. It worked great for about 5 min. I turned it on and it was bright for about 2 seconds then it went dim.like less then 1 mw.there’s no way I burnt it out it wasn’t even warm. I emailed sanwu but is there anything else I can do in terms of troubleshooting?

Try a new battery, not much else you can do without further damage and\or voiding the warranty, if any

You can try bypassing the tail cap switch ( safely ) as sometimes a tail switch can make a weak contact and cause low output issues.
Just use a piece of wire and see if it's the problem or not.
