I thought I would share this with you. My lil girl now equipped with her safety goggles is allowed into my room when I am messing about with my reds. She is almost 7 years old and is already a budding little scientist. 
Before anyone comments, these are professional laser goggles with rubber seals around the face to protect against any direct or specular reflection. Laser is 650nm lab heatsinked with a steady output of 197mW . she already understands laser wavelengths (colours) and understands fully the dangers of my hobby.
