Need a way of mounting small optical things (mirror, grating, prism, lens) to so they can be positioned for experiments.
This will use a pen laser pointer, which I intend to mount with the dealextreme clamp which is screwed onto a mini-tripod.
The idea is to bounce the beam between various optical bits. For example a 25mm glass grating square or a small mirror. The dealextreme clamp will probably not cut it for holding that kind of stuff (i.e. not a simple cylinder). I will need an adjustable clamp with two parallel sides that can be set to the width of the thing to be held. Best would be a clamp that can accept a standard tripod screw. Otherwise I will attach the clamp to a makeshift stand.
Available from the UK would be best, but not a big deal.
thanks
