I want to know if the 650nm lasers from chinese arnt usally 658 in reality?
Im getting a 658nm laser module soon...want to know if its darker then the 650nm module i had some time go.

thanks.

All the "650s" I've measured were 660-664nm with the exception of a $1 pointer at 655nm.

Reading the data sheet I see 650nm +/-5nm...
645nm to 655nm...

Whether that is true when actually testing that
Laser remains to be verified..

I'm not sure why the wavelength is so important I don't think +/-5nm is noticeable tho i could be wrong.

However i don't know if this helps but i ordered a 10mW 473nm unit 2 years ago and it was too spec power wise.

when I metered it it had a 17mW peak then stabilized at about 11mW and its still working great today. The review is linked in my Signature if it helps.

The difference in color isn't much, but the difference in brightness is.
