Cheap HeCd Heads on fleaBay

I noticed these while doing normal ebay laser searches. I have no experience with HeCd systems and no idea what it would take to get them lasing.

Second one caught my eye for the most part. I can't sink that much money into an unknown though.

Come on that 2nd one just looks cool. It'd be a nice feature even if you couldn't get it lasing.

Both around 40mW too.

I can almost guarantee those don't work - they never do. They need to be run often - far more often than argons even. Few people have gotten one to work at all, let alone more than a few hours. Note: the second doesn't come with PSU. Gas lasers are cool, don't get me wrong, but you can get the same beam powered by AAAs for half the price.
