i took apart a cd player and i have the diode, is there any way i can turn it into a laser?

Also i took apart a laser from my airsoft gun and do you have any clue how many mw it is?

The diode form the cd player is and infra red diode, and not very powerful, probably 1 - 3mW. The laser from your gun is probably 1 - 5mW

Well, if you were looking to burn things, they are useless.

If you want to make a high powered laser, get a diode preinstalled in an aixiz housing from here:

The owner of the store got a bad batch of diodes recently, and they can't be driven as hard as the good diodes. Apperently someone recently ordered some and they're outputting over 200mW, so the owner might have gotten the good diodes back up again, but until this is confirmed wait before you buy anything. Unless you don't mind your diode being a little weaker.
