I got an IR filte from Lazerlands
I got a 30mw green pen from Lazerlands. The pen was kind of a CheapO so I was worried about the IR. I ordered some IR filters off of ebay that arrived in about 15 days. They are tiny, not much bigger than the opening on the Laser so mounting it was kind of a challenge since there was not much room for glue without getting it over the Filter.
I ended up swiping one of these RF connector plugs from work. Turns out the EP-10 fits tightly over standard pens. The only hard part is drilling the hole in the exact center of the pen. If you have a small filter like I did, there is little room for error.
Once I got the hole drilled, I just dropped the filter over the hole and pushed the pen down into the cap securing the filter in place without glue.
I have read some toothpaste cap mount stories from other board members.
This might be a better alternative. They are usually sold in groups of 30 but the price still under 10 bucks.
