building a laser

can anyone help me? i am recently getting into lasers and i want to make my first one but i dont want it to be a burning laser because im not ready for that yet but could anybody tell me how to make one with some house hold parts? and what i would need for the driver?

Hey I think it's awesome that a newbie agnowleges the fact that he's not ready for a burning laser!!!

It's far to common for a newbies first post asking "WTB a 1W+ burning laser"

As stated above, use the search bar. There is so much information on this forum.

Also fill out your profile, Where your from, What you do, Age...

And head over to the welcome section and introduce yourself.

I don't think building a laser entirely out of stuff from around the home is going to land you anywhere. It's probably harder that way.

Not that difficult at all.

Take a look around the forum and you will find heatsink/host deals by senior members even JAD kits (Just Add Diode). Meaning you get a host/heat sink and driver set to your desired current and you just have to add the diode.
