Build a laser kit?

Hello; new here and I like shiny things....yes I know thats not saying much...Anyway. Question for you guys.

I found this forum looking for info on WL and during my search I found a thread where someone wanted to buy a laser. In that thread I could have sworn I saw a kit posted for noobs. A kit you basically you put together with no soldering.

I wanted to find that thread again, but had no luck. Does anyone know what I'm writing about, or where I could find a nice kit? I'd like to learn a bit more so thought that be a good stater.
