Sometimes you can get in to the lens and there is two little notches at either side of the lens that you can get a circlip piliers into about 1 mm and if you can turn it usually about a 1/4 turn to the left take it easy you are really moving the entire lens assembly in not just loosening the lens, there may be a spot of glue on the side that will stop you from moving the lens assembly, you can remove this carefully and then once thats gone you should after the first moving of the lens carefully be able to do it by hand you need to be careful not to get oil, from your fingers on it or anything else, but it works on my Arctic i can move it 1/4 turn to the left and it will focus to about 20 cm .its a bit fiddly but once you have got the hang of it its quite easy just don't touch the lens and then put the front cap back on and burn away .its only the first breaking of the seal that's a bit hard with the pliers ,do it CAREFULLY , after you can use your fingers, not a great solution but it works well i have two marks 90 degrees apart set for normal and then burning focus. Its a bit risky just go slow of course if you cant get to the lens tightening indentation well not much you can do good luck.
