I need help on knowing which is the blue laser pointer that has 5mw because some show 2-5mw so im a bit confused wehtere the are 2mw or 5 mw or 8 mw..? Im here looking at the aquarius in the laserglow website but which is the one that is 5mw ? -

Aquarius-2  - 0.6-2.0mW ~ 5mW - $489.00
Aquarius-5  - 2-5mW ~ 8mW - $689.00
Aquarius-8 - 5-8mW ~10mW - $889.00

Which is the better laser pointer out of the aquarius or the blue sphire or are they the same laser pointer with a different name ? The blue phire im talking about is from onpoint lasers and phantom dynamics . I also see onnpoint laser has it for a cheaper price..

if you spend that type of cash, PM Justin (laserglow) or Jack aka - bootlegtogo (optotronics)
they can answer your technical questions. I'd avoid less reputable companies

for a blue right now, only laserglow and optotronics are the only reputable options. everyone else will be selling CNI's. I woouldn't even consider the Spyder BX.

ledmuseum has reviewed both of them here http://ledmuseum.candlepower.us/eighth/rpl-blue.htm

I believe the aquarius is the same as the CNI he also reviewed. I might be wrong though.

The one i was looking at that i really like and hopefully i can get in the near future is the small 5mw blue laser pointer with the blue frame body which is featured in laserglow ..It states on the website the output power but which would be the 5mw out of these 2 below ? is the aquarius 2 a 2mw or 5 mw and is the aquarius 5 a 2mw, 5mw or a 8mw ? Oh how confusing  :-/ ...Sorry for this question but im a newbie at this but what is a CNI ?i

Aquarius-2  - 0.6-2.0mW ~ 5mW
Aquarius-5  - 2-5mW ~ 8mW

CNI is a "make" of laser like Ford or Ferrari is a "make" of car - basically which company makes it.

Send Justin a PM - he will be able to answer any questions you have...

I have the CNI blue laser, the same as what Laserglow calls the Aquarius and DragonLasers calls the Auroura. Mine is the 0.6-2mw.

If you need a constant 5mw, then you should get and RPL style laser, these CNI ones are not very stable, they are great for fun, but if you need a stable 5mw, this is not the right laser.

If you don't need and exact mw rating, get the 5-8mw, this is the only one of those you mentioned that gaurantees the ability to be at least 5mw.

When it says 0.6-2mw ~5mw the 5mw is the peak power, not the average.

Straight from the laser-horse's mouth:

The average output power of an Aquarius-2 will be tested to 0.6-2.0mW, the peak will usually be around 5mW.
The average output power of an Aquarius-5 will be tested to 2.0-5.0mW, the peak will usually be around 8mW.

Make sense?

PS. I would like it if somebody drew a picture of a laser-horse. ;)

You asked for it, if i could have had a bit longer exposure time i could have finished the head and added ears but my camera only gives me like 1.5 seconds, i had to draw fast!!

Yep. I've owned RPL blue and aquarius lasers. I did a review on an RPL blue that may still be on the LC, but I can't access that site anymore so I can't tell
