This is the blu-ray box style laser. it lights matches and it has a very visable beam. for some reason the camera dosen't pick it up as bright as others but it is still very cool. it is running at about 43 ma and is doing great i hope you like it as much as me

Thanks a lot drlava for the great group buy and fast shipping :) :)

Well I like it...nice going... ;) I have ordered some switches and project boxes for mine. I am going to keep it simple just like you did although I may try a dual circuit for the red.

yea that is a good idea with the duel red, blu-ray. i still have a BR diode left so maybe that will be my next project

Check out the Mod. and Exp. section... There is a DIY laser driver guide with the full explanation there ;)

How'd ya get the pic look purple? Every time I pic mine all I see is bleu..

yea it was but they deleted my listing why? :-?
chris did you notice anything infringing, they said it was deleted because it was a dangerous item yet i clearly stated that i limited the current such that it output less than 5mW. and if anyone is wondering i actually did.
i want to make more but i don't have any money

i am upset :-[

Thanks,
Mitch

I saw nothing infringing! Considering the number of ~100mw available and the fact that I've bought a 50mW off Ebay makes me pretty shocked that they removed it.
Were I to guess why, I'd say that it was because you stated the diode would do ~20mW if modified?
I'm pretty shocked though, try re-listing it...

PS: Maybe it's because it's not FDA approved or whatever? e.g. some of the higher power lasers say that they are OEM so are exempt from meeting FDA regulations?
Take a look at what other sellers are doing, and adjust your listing accordingly.

i kind of based it off of daedals listing

i relisted it check it out now and tell me what you think :)

Thanks alot man,
Mitch

Looks fine, nice pictures by the way..
Good luck with getting that sold :D

I can see NOTHING illegal nor contradictory to Ebay terms and conditions about that.

what? This is a standard Daedal-Diode, and yet you are able to light matches with it?!?
