Big problem

Umm well i finished my blu ray and it works, burns stuff and quite bright. But i can't get it to focus into a beam. I have the lens in as far as it can go and it still diverges a lot. Help please :-/

maybe you're screwing the lens in backwards?

the side with the notches in it (for a flathead screwdriver) is the side that faces the opening.. the flat side of the lens faces the laser itself.

also, if you tighten it all the way in it will be divergent... infinite culmination for most lenses is when it's screwed in about half way.

I fixed it, lol it was because when i tried to cut the plastic away from the back of the lens i put it in a vice and smashed the threads, preventing me from screwing it in further. Blu ray is awesome!! ;D
