Basic question for a n00b :/

Hi! I've got a 1W 445nm laser diode. I also bought 10mm G2 glass lense and screw everything inside Aixiz module. Actually, the laser is focused at approximately 1cm from the lens... I can't understand how to regulate the focal point at an higher distance. Please help!

Make sure you terminate the beam on a distant surface say 33 meters away. And watch how the spot size changes

Sure you can just move the lens in or out like I told you. However with such a short focal length the Rayleigh length will be short. I'll give a clue. When the spot size is as small as it can be on a distance surface then the beam is focused to infinity. This is also know as infinite conjugate.

Thank you so much! I found the right distance removing the diode from the Aixiz module and moving the lens... but is it possible that I can't do that using Aixiz module? Screwing all in or all out in the module, the beam isn't focused.
