Are drivers a must have or can I make one my self ?

Hello there, Finally registered again after losing my old account.

Anyways. Drivers, I'm looking forward to share my first "Virtual" laser build which aims to get ~5 Watt Optical Output Power to get suggestions and notes on it, but before doing that I am trying to find a 5W Driver and sadly couldn't find one until now, leaving me with the question: Are drivers in laser builds essential ? or can I simply build a perf board with electrical components on it which will do the job of a driver ?

I honestly can't find it... I think it has Buzzy in it, you can delete it if it's a must regarding to forum's rules

You can build a Constant Current driver for a Laser.
It all depends on your Electronic Skills.
BTW... Be sure you have proper Safety Goggles/Glasses
for that 5W Laser.
