Appallingly slow load times

I just had a race to see which would load faster. A 2mb file download, or loading a few threads in these forums. So I got out the timer and timed them (separately, of course) and the 2mb beat 3 threads loading in these forums (I even refreshed the threads when they stopped half way through loading).

Then, I disabled images to give a bit of a handicap. This time, the threads won, but not by much.

This is terrible. This is the only website where single pages take 5 minutes to load. And 1 minute WITHOUT IMAGES! Is anyone else having this problem?

I had that problem a few days ago, but it hasnt happened since.

This happens to me occasionally, when it gets too slow I just leave and hope that it gets faster later.

It happens to me too , but very rarely.....maybe 2-3 times a month(periods of a few hours or a day)
