Are you asking if people sell lasers of that wavelength, or if if anyone sell's the particular laser that telescope uses?

If your asking about wavelength, it looks like 593.5 to me.

Nah, I was just kidding ... not like anyone could (or would ;P) build a portable with the power of the Death Star, right?

I think the current one is actually a 20W 589nm laser, from what I can dig up, and it's due to be upgraded in 2013.. and not really 'death star' kind of powers. other wavelengths are capable of MUCH higher powers. Heck, 20W is LOW power for a co2 laser.

It is indeed a 589, that is pumped by 532. I love dye lasers.

Hmm. That says it's 12-14W.. Maybe the 20W is what it's being upgraded to in 2013.

I'll be happy to take the old one off their hands.
