Anyone know about the Laser lab in rochester ny?

hey guys, just wanted to know if anyone has heard of the Laboratory for Laser Energetics in Rochester NY? I actually live about 5 minutes from its location and would like to know more information about the femto-second laser they have there. The site is pretty neat----http://www.lle.rochester.edu/

The website is'nt too clear about what they are using those two huge lasers for...at least I dont think it says, i just got back from a c shift and am a little tired.

Okay, I should do a little more research before posting---->http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laboratory_for_Laser_Energetics --->Very interesting stuff, I hope that this info helps anyone who didn't know about this laser...I live a few mintues away and I didn't even know about it!
