Re: Anyone have experience with these types of batteries?

Hi, I am looking to get the 4W PL-E Pro from Jetlasers, but I'm wondering which 26650 batteries I should buy? I was originally going to pick up this one: https://www.amazon.com/EBL-5000mAh-...id=1511726219&sr=8-3&keywords=26650+batteries
But I'm wondering If there is a better one for about the same prices? Or is that one good?

My first choice is this brand keeppower. Second choice is Efest brand.

Would guess 4 26650 batteries for $20 are probably not good--that is about 1/2 the price of good batteries. The might be OK but the low price and 5000mAh rating make them suspect

IMR has an excellent selection of batteries and have very good low prices https://www.imrbatteries.com/

On a 445nm PL-E Pro you needs 2 26650 with positive terminal that can make contact with the bottom of the other battery---- so slightly raised + termainal called flat top work but flat flat top need a thin magnet in between so they make contact---the other choice is to use 1 button top and one flat top

Re: Anyone have experience with these types of batteries?

First, the link you gave doesn't work. Also where can I get one button top and one flat?

Fixed the link

Come on already you can't be bothered to use google or look at a few battery sites? Vendors chage what they offer all the time--you find what you need when you need it. Up to you to google it and look around---is taking spoon feeding answers/babysitting a bit to far.

The slightly raised flat tops work fine as long as the battery + terminal can make contact with the bottom of the other battery--those are more common than small button type button top--button top is large on 26650 very few small button tops--- here is an example https://www.amazon.com/5000mAh-Rechargeable-Li-ion-Battery-Flashlight/dp/B071Z8M34S/ref=sr_1_29?ie=UTF8&qid=1511728499&sr=8-29&keywords=26650+battery

and here is 26650 button top: https://www.batteryjunction.com/xtar-26650-4000.html

Alright, thanks. I'm just gonna stick with my original and if I decide I don't like them i'll switch. I did google stuff I just wanted your opinion. The laser comes with the little magnets so I will be fine

I know you've decided on your original choice of batteries, but HERE is a very comprehensive site for most all batteries and chargers; it is a great place to refer to when comparing or buying new cells.

Thanks, I bookmarked it. I'll probably go to that site in the future!
