I've been checking out their site and this particular laser caught my eye.
Arcane 2.0 520nm

The idea of a 1-1.4W green laser at such a great price is pretty appealing, but I do have some questions.
1-How reliable are these new direct diode green lasers? Any stability issues, longevity issues or other things I should know?
2-What kind of beam specs do they provide? I'm assuming something similar to my 445 lasers.(aka not the greatest, but not horrid either)
3-Anything else I should know? I've recently started to get back into this hobby and have no experience with these new 520nm lasers. My most powerful green currently is a 450ish mw DPSS 532.

/Nevermind this thread. I just found a review in the reviews forums.

In.

Irrelevant but, what was the 6W+ 445nm Blue/1.4W 520nm Green equivalent back in 2006.

All I know is that Eitan knows what he's doing and diodes have gotten better.

As long as you're in the Duty cycle I think you should be fine.

Beam is like a M-140, they seem to hold up, the greens are not as efficient as blues.

I build my own everything pretty much, but this laser from Sanwu looks good and has an optional expander for 59 dollars. WOW

Personally I would buy a diode/driver from DTR and get a host from Ehgemus or pick out a flashlight housing I like and have FlamingPyro make a nice heat sink, or make my own, but I like to maximize my value.

BUT...that Spiker looks good and I hear they are built well, plus +++++ an EXPANDER is available. Yes an EXPANDER!

For awesome looking and super bright I would get a Spiker from SANWU or a module from DTR and a host from Ehgemus.

No way would I wait months for a basic shapped housing I can make myself, if I was going to buy ready made I would buy from podo at SANWU HERE

Actually SANWU's Spiker with a 3X expander looks Awesome, it's just my opinion, but I would get a Spiker with an expander over a scifi in a heartbeat.

This is just my opinion, I don't make a single red cent one way or the other. There's nothing personal, I think the Spiker is really nice, I may have to get one myself and already would have if I wasn't wrapped up in beam shaping and starting down the beam combining road.

That thing looks amazing. If you get one be sure to review it.
