I was searching on the forum and saw a kit for a 7 color laser that had a 405nm, 650nm, and a 532nm...it looked great and had a posted 358mw I think of white laser light! NICE! That leads me to my next question...Has anyone one here buit a "high" power multicolor prodject like that using an 8x 405 maxed out 500mw or so a 20x red 650nm at 300mw and a 200mw 532nm to create a 1 watt white laser! That would be so cool to see! Also is a "white" laser "brighter to the human eye than a 532nm green? I would think so because the it is a combination of 3 lasers power and it's white....right?

It is very hard to capture the true color of this white light on camera because of 405nm being used. Even though it may look bright to the eye, to most cameras it will appear either red, green, or violet.

No 1W while laser has been created because we are basically limited to the power of the red and violet powers because the green is so bright. A 200mW green would completely drown out the other colors in a 1W RGV laser.

mW to mW, white is not brighter than green because green is only a part of a white laser, and red and violet are much dimmer.

No 1W while laser has been created

Maybe in pointer world, but outside the confines of a flashlight, there are plenty >1W white lasers. I have one, as a matter of fact. 500mW of 635, 250mW of 473, and 1.05W (turned down to around 400mW maybe?) of 532 in my projector. Many people over at PL also have "high power white" lasers.

On the matter of brightness, 405 is .45lm/W, 532 is 600 lm/W, and 655 is 55lm/W. With a ratio of 4:1:4, A white laser consisting of said colors should be no more than 280lm/W which would give apparent brightness like that of 617nm... or 505nm on the other end. That's about 1/3 as bright as just green.

I was talking about the "7 color" white build from rog1188, which from what I know nobody has been near 1W. I should have made that more specific in my post...

I was wondering if a 12x 405 could be used onced we figure out what it's cabable of, along with a high powered 635nm. The nm difference should help the red appear more visible although it might look more orangish to some.

635 only looks more orange when projected on a surface (dot). when in the air, it's virtually indistinguishable from 660 (beam).
