Another Goggles thread

Hey guys, would love some advice. I've spent some time searching and reading LPF about different safety goggles. I'm hoping to have a 1w 445nm laser soon and also have a red laser from a dvd burner (100-150mw?)

Firstly I mainly want to get goggles for my 445 and have come down to a list of a few.

I am still deciding which to get between these 3 for just my 445 protection. Leaning towards the eagle pair or dino direct from reading several reviews.

However I have stumbled upon a few other goggles that I wouldn't mind getting and would like to get your opinions on

I wouldn't mind getting the extra IR protection for an extra few dollars

This is the one I'm really interested in getting as it has 445 and red protection

Any thoughts or recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

As I have no experience with the multiwavelength models you've asked about, I cannot address that part of your enquiry (I am guessing that they would have a somewhat lower visible light transmission?), but I can speak to the Eagle Pair 190-540nm model..
I purchased 2 pairs of the slipover style from Garoq / Survival Lasers for use with my 1+ W. 445nm, and I couldn't be more pleased with them. They are very well constructed, have great visible light transmission, block blue light completely when in use, yet still permit a nice, comfortably visible laser beam spot (of the fluorescent wavelengths) so one can focus and align the laser when in-use. These are a great choice for 445 IMHO.. Service from Garoq was excellent btw. Highly recommended!

@av8r That is the general consensus of that eagle pair goggles hence it would be one of the ones I would be more inclined to get =D

Just bought the multiwavelength from survival lasers. Can't wait for it to get to me in Aus. I'll do a review on it since I haven't seen any reviews yet of multiwavelength safety goggles yet. Tho I probably will need help from someone in Sydney with a LPM and some lasers? haha anyone?
